Data Center Technician

Data Center Technician Technician under the guidance of the Lead Technician, Supervisor and Project Manager will manage all phases of Datacenter installation Projects. Technician must be able to think strategically and demonstrate “Leadership”. Technicians and Lead Technician will assume total ownership from the receipt of completed engineering “work package” to delivery of project completion and final documentation. Lead Technician must exhibit the ability to provide great customer service and deliver projects according to the customer’s expectations.

All applicants applying will be required to submit to a background and drug screen. Candidates will need to acquire OSHA 10 and Aerial Certificates prior to 1 st day – (we will get you certified online after acceptance of offer) This site is an active construction / build out environment , full Safety PPE must be worn daily. The location is in Monks Corner SC and you will be required to work in Summerville / Ridgeville SC  are targeting a start date of December 29 th .

This is a contract to hire, the starting rate range is $20-23 per hour W2 - plus health coverage and PTO options - Candidates must be willing to be onsite and work Monday-Thursday- 7:00 am-530pm EST. The conversion salary is $45,000 - $50,000 Mandatory OT will be required from time to time with some weeks working 50+ hours per week Technician must be detail oriented, analytical.

Technician must have a full understanding of the scope of work. Technician must have the ability to understand and accurately complete all paperwork required of assigned project. Technician must be able to run small, medium, and large projects when required. Technician must be fully competent of the standard for quality installation craftsmanship and customer service excellence. Technician must be fully competent at installation and termination of various copper and fiber products in accordance with TIA/EIA standards and BICSI standards.

Main Duties/

Required Skills:

Technician must be fully capable of interpreting test results from fiber and copper testers and successfully troubleshooting and properly repairing the fiber or copper cable plant to ultimately ensure a correct and valid test 1 + years of construction, building or data center experience

Education:

High School Diploma or GED requir ed OSHA 10 general certification will be required within 1 week of start date (online completion) Background and drug screen BICSI and industry Certifications are preferred Knowledge of fiber terms and troubleshooting is needed. Ability to drive company vehicle throughout the day. This position requires a background check and driver’s license check. Ability to lift various items is required, as well to stand for long periods of time and climb ladders.
