This position requires a skilled estimator with at least three years of experience in construction estimating and proficiency in software like Bluebeam or Plan Swift. You will play an essential role in reviewing project specifications, performing takeoffs, and maintaining organized records. Collaborating with project managers and site teams is key to ensuring project success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review project plans thoroughly for cost estimation
• Perform precise quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, and equipment
• Solicit and evaluate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers
• Prepare timely and accurate bid proposals and submissions
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions and requirements
Requirements:
• Minimum 3 years of construction estimating experience
• Post-secondary education in Construction Management or Engineering Technology
• Proficiency in estimating software applications
• Strong knowledge of building codes and construction methods
• Valid driver’s licence is mandatory
