FULL TIME ROLE - $25-35 hour + over time and assigned vehicle + benefitsA DAY IN THE LIFE OF A COMMERCIAL SUPERINTENDENTAs a Commercial Superintendent, you bring structure, leadership, and accountability to every job site. You coordinate crews, subcontractors, and resources to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of safety and craftsmanship. Each day, you monitor progress, conduct inspections, and collaborate closely with project managers, clients, and adjusters to resolve challenges and keep communication clear.
You take ownership of your sites, ensuring quality work, well-documented progress, and a culture of safety and teamwork. Your ability to lead by example and problem-solve in real time helps deliver successful projects and build long-term client trust.
Qualifications3+ years of commercial construction or commercial restoration experience (mitigation, remediation, abatement, commercial cleaning) High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in construction or related field an asset
Knowledge of Canadian commercial building codes, safety regulations, and inspection requirements
Proven ability to organize, schedule, and direct multiple crews and subcontractors
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with a focus on teamwork and accountability
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and familiarity with project management software and mobile applicationsIICRC certifications or equivalent an asset; ability to obtain provincial asbestos certification required
Valid driver's license and clean driving abstract
Must be able to participate in a rotating on-call schedule Ability to complete work activities that may involve material handling, lifting, climbing, and the use of personal protective equipment including respirators, safety footwear, and other required gear Ability to travel for extended periods for CAT assignments
