Become an online instructor for 'Inclusive Practices for Sustainable Communities' at Wilfrid Laurier University. Inspire students to explore sustainability and social justice in a virtual setting.
Scheduled for Winter 2027, this course emphasizes critical reflexivity, ecological practices, and community care among students via online learning. The class will accommodate up to 35 participants, focusing on addressing environmental injustices through relationships with nature. This curriculum aligns with CASWE's competencies, providing students with tools to advocate for equity and inclusive practices in their future social work careers.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging online lectures on inclusive practices
• Facilitate discussions on ecological sustainability
• Assess and provide feedback on student projects
• Engage with seasonal and place-based narratives
• Support collaborative community building exercises
Requirements:
• Master’s degree in Social Work or related fields
• PhD preferred for graduate-level instruction
• Must meet eligibility for Faculty of Graduate Studies
• Strong teaching evidence required
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
