Building Simulation Specialist

Overview

As a Building Simulation Specialist, you'll collaborate with engineering teams to deliver top-notch energy simulations in line with the National Energy Code for Buildings (NECB). Engage in energy analysis using IES-VE and HAP to ensure projects meet efficiency standards. This role involves reviewing various engineering drawings while applying your analytical skills to recreate facility models accurately. With a focus on teamwork and attention to detail, you'll assist in calculating necessary heat and cooling loads, while managing energy compliance effectively.

• Conduct energy simulations and performance analysis
• Review architectural and engineering drawings accurately
• Support engineers in load calculations and compliance
• Manage utility analysis and documentation tasks
• Create and format energy study reports accordingly

• Educational background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Familiarity with construction drawings and compliance analysis
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office tools
• IES-VE or HAP proficiency preferred
• Bilingual in English and French for effective communication
