As a Senior Mine Engineer, you will report directly to the Chief Engineer and play a key role in supervising mine and drill/blast planning. Your responsibilities will include strategic planning, budget management, and mentoring engineering interns. This position also provides an opportunity for professional development by stepping in as Chief Engineer as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee Short, Medium, and Long Range Plans
• Supervise drilling and blasting design activities
• Direct Mine Operations according to strategic plans
• Mentor EITs and support their professional growth
• Manage mine design projects, including underground void updates
Requirements:
• University degree in Mining Engineering or similar
• Professional Engineering Designation or eligible
• Eight years of open pit engineering experience
• Proficient in mine design software, such as Mine Plan
• Eligible to work in Canada
