This permanent full-time role requires a graduate degree in planning recognized by the Canadian Institute of Planners. As an Urban Planner, you will be engaged in drafting land use policies, conducting research, and analyzing reports to facilitate Municipal Development Plans and zoning by-law processes. The role may also involve acting as a Development Officer when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and support land use planning initiatives
• Draft policy documents for long-range planning
• Conduct thorough research and analysis for planning projects
• Respond to public inquiries regarding zoning matters
• Review and process development permits and applications
Requirements:
• Graduate degree in planning recognized by the Canadian Institute of Planners
• 1-2 years of relevant municipal planning experience
• Knowledge of planning legislation and community planning principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and GIS mapping tools
• Strong report writing and communication skills
