Step into a meaningful role as a Recreation Therapist at Providence Care Hospital. This temporary full-time position focuses on maximizing independence and enhancing leisure experiences for diverse clients.
As part of an interprofessional team, you will work under the direction of the Program Manager at Providence Care Hospital. Your expertise in therapeutic recreation, along with your creativity, will be pivotal in assessing clients' needs and developing individualized intervention plans. This position allows you to contribute positively to the recovery journey of adults and seniors in a supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct initial screenings and assess client needs
• Create profession-specific intervention plans based on assessments
• Maintain accurate documentation of client progress
• Develop and implement group recreation programs
• Ensure accurate workload documentation as per policies
Requirements:
• Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or related field
• Member of Therapeutic Recreation Ontario preferred
• Experience in delivering services in mental health settings
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Commitment to a person-centered care approach
