Overview
Arobas Personnel is currently seeking a SRE Open Shift Engineer for a strategic contract with one of its clients located in New Brunswick.
Remote: Hybrid
What your day-to-day will look likeIn this role, you will actively contribute to building and stabilizing a modern cloud-native platform, ensuring reliability and scalability at every stage. The client aims to:
- Build, expand, and operationalize their Red Hat Open Shift setting
- Transition into a stable, production-grade platform
- Enable their internal Dev Ops team to scale application delivery
You will be part of a dedicated platform engineering team responsible for evolving the Open Shift platform while ensuring:
- High availability
- Performance and scalability
- Continuous improvement
- Core Services
- You will play a key role in delivering initiatives such as:
- Automation & Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Git Ops enablement
- CI/CD integration
- Performance optimization
- Major Open Shift platform upgrades
- Architecture assessments and roadmap support
- Ongoing Managed Services
- You will contribute to day-to-day operations, including:
- Cluster management
- Worker node operations
- Monitoring and incident response
- Patching and upgrades (standard lifecycle tasks)
- Operational governance
- Lifecycle management
- SRE Engineer Role
- As a Senior SRE Engineer, you will focus on reliability, performance, and automation:
- Operate and optimize Open Shift clusters
- Drive reliability engineering practices
- Lead automation initiatives and advanced troubleshooting
- Experience
- 4–8 years of experience in infrastructure/platform engineering
- 2–4+ years of experience with Kubernetes / Open Shift
- Strong Linux and automation expertise
- Certifications
- Red Hat Open Shift Administration Certification
- Red Hat Certified Specialist in Open Shift Administration
- Technical Skills
- Automation & Infrastructure as Code
- Terraform
- Git Ops practices
- CI/CD familiarity with pipelines and tools
- Language Requirements
- English required
- French/English bilingualism is an asset (not mandatory)
