Events and Festivals Manager

Lead City of Moncton events and festivals through strategic planning, sponsorship development, and operational delivery. This permanent full-time position is based in Moncton, New Brunswick.

Reporting to the Director, Events and Venues, the Manager provides leadership for Community Services events. The position oversees City-led events, community support, marketing, partnerships, grants, and event operations. Success requires strategic thinking, negotiation, and relationship management across diverse stakeholders.

• Lead planning, delivery, and improvement of City-led events
• Manage departmental planning, budgets, partnerships, sponsor ships, and communications
• Support community events, festivals, programs, and grants
• Supervise, coach, mentor, and evaluate employees
• Coordinate with departments, partners, businesses, and the public

• University degree in event management, business, marketing, public relations, or related discipline
• Three years of progressively responsible events or marketing experience
• Two years of demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience
• Fluency in English and French at Intermediate+ level
• Valid Class 5 New Brunswick Driver’s License or equivalency
