Use blueprint reading and welding expertise as a Fabricator at Apex Industries within its Custom Contract Manufacturing Group. This full-time, permanent position offers hands-on work with varied metals.
Reporting to the Fabrication Supervisor, you will fit, assemble, and weld stainless steel, mild steel, and aluminum. The work requires interpreting weld symbols, meeting specifications, and verifying quality. Strong mechanical aptitude supports accurate fabrication across custom manufacturing projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Read blueprints and plan fabrication layouts
- Fit, assemble, and weld varied metal materials
- Interpret weld symbols and drawing notes
- Verify products meet standards and tolerances
- Operate cranes and forklifts safely
- Minimum five years of fabrication experience
- High school diploma or equivalent education and experience
- Ability to interpret schematics and blueprints
- Knowledge of rigging and equipment safety
- CWB welding tickets considered an asset
