Northern Health is seeking an Emergency Department Nurse Practitioner for Dawson Creek and District Hospital. You will assess CTAS 1–5 patients and contribute to team-based emergency medicine. The work includes Power Chart or paper documentation, consultation with health professionals, and adaptable practice in complex situations.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage emergency presentations across CTAS levels 1–5
- Collaborate with emergency physicians and department nurses
- Contribute to team-based emergency medicine
- Utilize Power Chart or paper-based documentation
- Engage virtual services for emergency care delivery
- Hold a BCCNM-approved master’s nurse practitioner education
- Qualify for registration with BCCNM
- Communicate with patients, families, and care teams
- Critically assess research literature and determine best practices
- Self-direct and adapt with other professionals
Bring emergency assessment, consultation, documentation, and collaborative practice to Dawson Creek and District Hospital’s Emergency Department.
