Position: Quality Assurance Manager )

Objective & Purpose

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for leading the company’s Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring product quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement across manufacturing operations. The role drives operational excellence through statistical process control, supplier quality management, and structured problem–solving methodologies while ensuring compliance with ISO standards and customer requirements.

Principle

Duties & Responsibilities Quality Management System
  • Maintain and continuously improve the corporate Quality Management System.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO quality standards and support external certification audits.
  • Lead internal audit programs and management review reporting.
Manufacturing Quality & Process Control
  • Implement and manage Statistical Process Control (SPC) programs across production processes.
  • Monitor and improve key manufacturing quality metrics including FPY, Cp/Cpk, DPMO, scrap and rework rates.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues.
Supplier Quality Assurance
  • Manage the company’s Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) program.
  • Support supplier qualification and monitor supplier performance.
  • Review and approve Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) documentation where applicable.
  • Lead response to customer‑initiated supplier quality audits.
Inspection, Testing & Product Quality
  • Oversee incoming inspection, in‑process inspection, functional testing and final product verification.
  • Manage Returned Material Authorization (RMA) processes.
  • Participate in the Material Review Board (MRB).
Non‑Conformance & Corrective Action
  • Manage the Non‑Conformance Reporting (NCR) system.
  • Lead Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes.
  • Ensure root cause analysis and corrective action effectiveness.
Continuous Improvement
  • Promote Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop data‑driven quality reporting and performance dashboards.
  • Performance will be measured using metrics such as:
    • First Pass Yield (FPY)
    • Customer return / RMA rate
    • Internal defect rate
    • Supplier defect rate
    • SPC process capability improvements (Cp/Cpk)
    • CAPA closure timelines
    • External audit performance
Education, Training & Experience
  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree and/or recognized Quality Assurance Credentials.
  • Minimum eight (8) years manufacturing experience preferably in a quality assurance leadership role supporting electrical/mechanical assembly operations.
  • Strong and current working knowledge of ISO Quality System requirements.
  • Previous and proven experience with the successful implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of business operations / manufacturing quality systems (ISO, Lean, etc.).
  • Experience with SPC, CAPA, supplier quality programs and PPAP.
  • Knowledge/experience PCB, HVAC and/or electronics preferred.
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) – preferred.
  • Lean / Six Sigma Certification – preferred.
Skills and Competency Requirements
  • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, process development, training and problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong information technology, data analysis, document management skills.
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office Suite, SYSPRO, JIRA, etc.).
  • Able to read and interpret electrical schematics and PCB design documentation.
  • Able to read and interpret mechanical drawings and design documentation.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and resource development.
