About the Opportunity
Our client is an established insurance brokerage with an entrepreneurial operating model and a strong platform to support continued growth across the commercial insurance market.
They are looking to add experienced Commercial Insurance Producers with a proven track record of business development, particularly within the mid-to-large commercial market. Producers with expertise in industries such as construction, healthcare, and mining, or specialty lines such as D&O and environmental insurance, are of particular interest.
This is an opportunity to grow your practice with a high degree of autonomy, competitive earning potential, and access to the technical expertise, service teams, and resources needed to support long-term success.
What You'll Do
- Develop new business opportunities and grow a profitable commercial insurance portfolio.
- Build relationships with prospective clients, referral partners, and key industry contacts.
- Identify and pursue opportunities within mid-to-large commercial accounts and specialized markets.
- Assess client exposures and develop tailored insurance and risk management solutions.
- Collaborate with internal service, marketing, placement, and technical teams to deliver effective client solutions.
- Maintain a strong pipeline and execute a business development strategy focused on sustainable growth.
- Build your market presence through networking, industry involvement, and strategic relationship development.
Qualifications
- Established experience in commercial insurance production, with a demonstrable track record of new business development.
- Experience targeting and developing mid-to-large commercial accounts.
- Strong understanding of commercial insurance markets, coverage solutions, and client risk exposures.
- Ability to articulate past production, current business development activity, and future growth potential.
- Strong relationship-building, negotiation, and consultative selling skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the drive to build and grow a successful commercial practice.
Book ownership is not required. Producers with an established portfolio may explore acquisition opportunities, and those with an existing support team may discuss bringing their team into the business.

Who Will Be Successful in This Role?

Location
Toronto, Ontario, with an immediate focus on the Ontario market. Experienced producers in other regions will also be considered.
