Technical Lead, Software Development, Backend Developer

Auxo is hiring a Technical Lead for an early‑stage startup building AI‑driven backend systems focused on document processing, automation, and structured data extraction.

You’ll lead the backend architecture of a platform heavily centered on Python, APIs, and AI integrations. This is a hands‑on role where you’ll design scalable systems, build microservices, and integrate LLM‑powered features into production workflows.

This is ideal for someone who enjoys backend depth, clean architecture, and working on real‑world AI systems, not just prototypes.

• Design and build backend systems using Python and Django
• Lead architecture decisions for microservices and API design
• Develop and maintain integrations with AI models and LLM APIs
• Build data pipelines and document processing workflows
• Work with Postgre
  
  SQL on schema design and performance optimization
• Design multi‑tenant systems and scalable backend services
• Collaborate with Dev Ops on CI/CD and infrastructure using GCP
• Implement event‑driven systems and messaging patterns
• Mentor engineers and enforce strong engineering standards
• Work closely with product to translate requirements into scalable systems

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, including at least 2 years as a technical lead
• Strong hands‑on experience with Python and Django
• Experience building and scaling backend systems in production
• Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, and system design
• Experience with cloud platforms, ideally GCP
• Experience integrating AI or LLM APIs into products
• Strong database experience with PostgreSQL
• Comfortable working in early‑stage environments
• Strong problem‑solving and ownership mindset
• Experience mentoring or leading engineers
