This position is ideal for those who excel in trailer handling and yard coordination. A commitment to safety is essential as part of a full-time, permanent role where you facilitate the movement of trailers and maintain critical communication with dispatch and dock staff.
Key Responsibilities:
• Safely execute shunting tasks within the terminal
• Coordinate and place trailers accurately for dispatch
• Conduct pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections
• Communicate effectively with operations and dispatch teams
• Ensure cleanliness and readiness of equipment
Requirements:
• Valid Class 1 driver’s license with a clean abstract
• At least 2 years of experience in trucking
• Strong manual transmission operation skills
• Familiarity with terminal operations and safety
• Ability to work independently in a busy terminal
