Full-Time Class 1 Shunt Driver

We are looking for a dependable Shunt Driver (Class
1) to manage terminal operations on the day shift. If you have strong trailer handling and backing skills, along with a keen commitment to operational efficiency, this is the opportunity for you. You’ll enjoy a structured work environment while meeting daily scheduling needs and ensuring smooth freight flow.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform trailer spotting, swaps, and yard coordination
• Move equipment between docks and staging areas
• Ensure accurate trailer placements for on-time dispatch
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections on tractors
• Communicate with dispatch and dock staff for scheduling
Requirements:
• Valid Class 1 license with clean driver's abstract
• Minimum 2 years of experience with tractor-trailers
• Proficiency in manual transmission operation
• Strong understanding of yard safety and operations
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting
