Medical Laboratory Scientists/Medical Technologists perform tests on blood and body fluids to determine the presence or absence of disease, monitor response to treatment, and aid in health maintenance. They provide guidance and oversight to other testing personnel with lesser credentials, troubleshoot instrument issues, use critical thinking and clinical knowledge to assess questionable results, and correlate findings with clinical information to ensure accuracy.
Job Requirements – MLS/MTEducation
- Required:
Bachelor's Degree obtained within 90 days or High School Diploma or equivalent AND Grandfathered status under CLIA Regulations. - Preferred:
Completion of a medical technology program.

- Strong analytical/problem solving skills.
- Effective communication with management; demonstrates clear verbal and written communication.
- Excellent time management, interpersonal, presentation, organization, prioritizing, decision-making, and planning skills.
- Knowledge of current information technology and ability to lead project teams for automation projects of large size and complexity.
- Proficient in all Microsoft programs; high proficiency in Excel.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Required:
Certified as a Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist from either AMT, ASCP, or ASCPi.
Laboratory Technicians perform tests on blood and body fluids to determine the presence or absence of disease, monitor response to treatment, and aid in health maintenance (with assistance of Medical Technologists/Medical Laboratory Scientists). They identify and interpret test results and report to clinicians.
Job Requirements – MLTEducation
- Required:
Associate’s Degree or completion of an accredited MLT program.
Experience
- Preferred: 1 year experience in a laboratory.

Licensure/Certification/Registration
- Required:
Certified as a Medical Lab Technician from a nationally recognized laboratory certifying agency or eligible to sit for exam at time of hire; must obtain certification within 90 days of hire. - Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or High School Diploma or equivalent AND Grandfathered status under CLIA Regulations. - Preferred:
Completion of a medical technology program.
