Join SRC Automotive as an Industrial Maintenance Technician 1st shift. SRC holds a strong employee‑owner culture, offering employee ownership, tuition reimbursement, and bonuses based on company performance. The role is full‑time, Monday‑Thursday 5 am‑3:30 pm with mandatory overtime as needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Analyze mechanical and operational problems on assigned equipment, taking corrective action to maintain production and quality.
- Recommend maintenance schedules and processes, and assist with potential outsourcing of maintenance projects.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance including machine lubrication, wash/dip tank chemical changes, belt changing, and equipment inspections.
- Assist with set‑up of new machinery and facility layout.
- Maintain records in the maintenance tracking system for preventive and regular maintenance performed.
- Communicate equipment failures and unsafe conditions to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Direct other Maintenance Techs as needed; open clogged drains, fix leaks, and perform simple plumbing jobs.
- Assist with basic landscaping work as needed (pulling weeds, snow removal, salting walkways, other yard work).
- Maintain high value on a safe workforce, good housekeeping, and meet IATF 16949:2016 standards.
- Participate in and support Open Book Management principles.
- Other duties may be assigned as needed.
- High School diploma or GED preferred; AA/AS in Maintenance Technology, Engineering, or related discipline preferred.
- Five (5) years previous maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment required.
- Working experience with welding, electrical, plumbing, equipment installation, hydraulics, and air‑powered equipment required.
- Must be able to read machinery schematics and diagrams; diagnose and perform complex maintenance solutions.
- Cannot be afraid of heights; general knowledge of equipment used in the building trades; use hand tools and trade‑type tools.
- Ability to be certified on company fork‑truck and scissor‑lift equipment; multi‑task multiple maintenance projects/issues at one time.
- Effective relationship management skills with co‑workers in a team environment; basic computer literacy required.
Exposure to dust, fumes, noise, and varying temperatures for extended periods; all employees required to wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.
Physical DemandsWalk, stand, use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; frequently lift and move up to 35‑50 pounds; sitting 10%, standing/walking 90%.
