Domestic Assistant

Gibraltar Nursing Home, located in Monmouth, is looking for a Domestic Assistant to join the team.

In short, your responsibility is to maintain a safe, hygienic, and well‑presented home. This could include a variety of duties, such as keeping bedrooms clean and tidy, maintaining wardrobes, dusting shelves, washing floors and carpets, and ensuring bathrooms are sparkling and stocked with toiletries.

We have a one‑team approach throughout the home. Even though you’ll have your own responsibilities, you’ll be working alongside Laundry Assistants and Care Assistants. For example, if a Care Assistant sees food on the floor, they will clean it up rather than ignore it, because it’s part of the team’s shared duties.

Yes. You’ll chat, laugh, assist with wash‑up, and fold clothes together with residents, forging friendships with both team members and those who live in the home.
