Float Rehab Service Coordinator;
As Needed, Day Shift
Compensation: $18.32+ and $2/hour Float Shift Differential
Hours per Week: Vary based on department needs (0.0 FTE)
Shift: Weekdays 7a-5:30p (as needed)
We are seeking a dynamic Rehab Service Coordinator to join our Outpatient Therapy Team at UnityPoint Health – Meriter

- Work within a patient‑centered outpatient clinic setting.
- Collaborate with therapy teams to support exceptional patient care and experience.
- Embrace lifelong learning—receive feedback, seek opportunities, and share insights.
- Participate in staff meetings and project groups to drive quality improvements.
- Remain up to date with clinic operations, workflow changes, and communications.
- Demonstrate flexibility, taking on additional responsibilities for team and process improvement.
- Offer a minimum of one 8‑hour shift every 2 weeks, scheduled as needed.

:
Administrative and clerical support—preparing patient charts, reviewing therapy orders, monitoring billing spreadsheets. - B role
:
Front desk reception, scheduling and patient registration, over‑the‑counter sales and payment collection, patient navigation from entry to exit. - C role
:
Organizing, cleaning and preparing patient care areas, completing equipment maintenance, ordering supplies.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Epic Cadence scheduling experience.
- At least one year of customer service experience, preferably in an outpatient medical setting.
- Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Keyboarding proficiency and multitasking ability with frequent interruptions.
- Exceptional attention to detail and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Knowledge of insurance (benefits, authorizations) and registration processes.
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Physical ability to assist therapists with patient care (e.g., bending, lifting).
