Retail and Donations Associate role at Habitat for Humanity of Dane County
.

This position is responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the Habitat ReStore and maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming store environment.

• Serve as a point of contact with customers at the donation’s acceptance area, in the store or on the phone
• Assist with unloading or loading of items
• Provide cashier coverage when needed
• Maintain consistent donor, shopper and volunteer experience across ReStore areas
• Assist in tracking donation activity at the donation acceptance area
• Advocate for the Habitat for Humanity mission
• Complete virtual checks of store inventory and assist Communications Director with online or social media customer communications
• Inspect donated items to determine if sellable and organize them into appropriate categories/areas; assist with recycling or disposal of unwanted items
• Prepare donations and purchased product for sales floor readiness (clean, price, package, label, etc.)
• Organize merchandise and displays while maintaining a clean and safe sales floor
• Other duties as assigned

• Full-time
• 8 hour shift 8:45 am – 5:15 pm
• Tuesday to Saturday

• Understand and appreciate the mission of HFH and Re Store
• Good interpersonal and customer service skills
• Ability to work mornings and afternoons, Tuesday through Saturday
• Proficiency with various programs including MS Office (Word and Excel), Outlook, Teams
• Knowledge of building materials and hardware preferred but not required
• Retail experience preferred but not required
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced team environment
• Able to lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
• High school diploma or equivalent
