Program Therapist – Ridgeview Institute – Monroe
Join Ridgeview Institute as a Program Therapist and assist patients in meeting their bio‑psychosocial needs through therapeutic treatment skills. Provide basic social work consultation, teach and deliver specialized clinical services, crisis intervention, short‑term and long‑term family therapy, and make referrals as needed.
Pay Range
$45,000–$50,000 per year
- Formulate and conduct educational, therapeutic, or support groups.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, health care team members and community providers regarding patient status and progress.
- Interact and communicate with community agencies in assessment of and service to patients.
- Provide liaison and referral services to community agencies and appear in court when requested or subpoenaed.
- Maintain confidentiality in compliance with professional ethics according to professional and facility standards.
- Identify opportunities for the program and participate in performance improvement projects and activities.
- Continue professional development in individual, family, and group therapy and maintain professional development in the personnel file.
- Assist in the orientation of new colleagues and supervise student interns.
- Conduct individual, couples, and family counseling on scheduled timetables.
- Develop an effective working relationship with patients and families (engagement, collaboration, advocacy, problem solving).
- Evaluate and document effectiveness of interventions and patient responses.
- Comply with required standards for medical/legal reporting situations (child abuse, dependent adult abuse, psychiatric commitment).
- Represent the facility at legal hearings as requested; submit paperwork for legal holds in a timely fashion; act as liaison with the conservator’s office.
- Assess psychosocial, educational, developmental, and behavioral functioning of the patient/family system through established case finding mechanisms.
- Consult with families on emotional, social, and financial aspects of care.
• Licensed social worker (LCSW), mental health therapist, or equivalent with at least 2 years of experience in a clinical social work setting.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct individual, couples, and family therapy and to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Knowledge of DSM‑IV and bio‑psychosocial factors related to the ages of served patients.
• Strong communication, documentation, and collaborative skills.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical and legal standards.
