Operates ultrasound equipment to perform clinical diagnostic ultrasound exams and routine invasive procedures according to established standards and practices. Provides patient services utilizing ultrasound equipment. Demonstrates knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and pathology. Provides patient care to all age groups to include neonatal, pediatrics, adult, and geriatrics. Communicates effectively with staff and radiologists.

Education

• Graduate of an AMA approved Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or JRCERT accredited hospital‑based training program (Required)
• In lieu of certificate, equivalent experience according to Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) (Required)

• 1 year of experience (Preferred)

Licenses and Certifications

• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire (Required)
• ARDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonography must become registered by the ARDMS within (6) months of employment (Required)
• Vascular Sonographers must become registered and/or RVT, RVS, RT(S), RT(VS) within (6) months of employment (Required)
• ARMS or ARRT - Breast Sonography (Required)
• RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist (Preferred)
• RVS - Registered Vascular Sonographer (Preferred)
