Job Details:

• 12-hour shifts with self-scheduling

• Patient ratio of 6:1 for days, nights, and weekends

• Every other weekend required

• No call responsibilities

• Float within facility/scope of practice as needed

• 24 hours of orientation (non-billable)

• Minimum 1 year experience required - accepts first-time travelers

• 2 years of experience preferred

• BLS certification required

• Georgia or Compact license required at time of submittal

• Epic charting system experience preferred

• Community hospital, Trauma Level I and II experience preferred

• Care for adult and geriatric patients on a 36-bed medical surgical unit

• Skills include telemetry monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, isolation precautions, oxygen administration, peripheral line care, and use of rapid response/code teams

• Maximum 7 days requested time off allowed

• Holiday work requirements based on number of major holidays during assignment period

• Must be available to submit core items and complete labs within 48 hours of contract signing

• Two supervisory references highly preferred (manager level or above)

• Clinical screening required to determine clinical fit

The organization provides extensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary support to ensure comprehensive patient care.
