Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position caring for laboring patients from 35 weeks, with night shifts and on-call requirements.

• Work in the Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit within a hospital setting
• Care for laboring patients from 35 weeks gestation as well as provide postpartum and newborn care
• Night shift position with 3x12 hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15
• Weekend requirement is every third weekend
• On-call required once a week as needed
• Floating required within the facility and scope of practice
• Role covers LDRP responsibilities, including labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care
• First time travelers are accepted
• Travel pairs cannot be assigned to the same shift on the same unit
• No blocked scheduling permitted
• Maximum 7 days of requested time off allowed; no requested time off permitted during the first week
• Compliance with documentation and orientation requirements is mandatory to start on time
• If a traveler is ineligible to return to one facility, they must complete one successful assignment outside the health system before being eligible for a new location
• Holiday coverage is required in accordance with the number of major holidays falling within the assignment period
• Local candidates are accepted at the same rate

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Minimum 3 years of Labor & Delivery experience required
• Two supervisory references from manager level or above required for consideration
• Applicants must not have worked in any Piedmont facility in the past year as a perm or PRN employee
