The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of heavy machinery to perform site grading, excavation, and road construction. Operators must have experience handling dozers, trackhoes, and/or motor graders while ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety regulations.

  • Operate dozers, trackhoes (excavators), and motor graders for grading, excavation, and earthmoving tasks.
  • Read and interpret grading plans, blueprints, and project specifications to ensure accuracy.
  • Perform pre-operational inspections and routine maintenance on assigned equipment.
  • Ensure proper slope, elevation, and grade per project requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with project managers, supervisors, and other team members to complete jobs efficiently.
  • Follow all safety procedures and regulations, ensuring a safe work environment.
  • Maintain equipment cleanliness and organization at job sites.

Job Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience operating heavy equipment such as dozers, trackhoes, or motor graders
    .
  • Ability to read and interpret grading plans and site layouts
    .
  • Experience in highway construction, site development, or earthmoving is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of grading, slopes, and compaction requirements
    .
  • Dependable attendance and ability to work flexible hours as project demands require.
  • Must be safety-conscious and follow all site safety procedures.
  • On-machine GPS, Laser, and Robotics experience is a plus.
  • Work hours vary based on seasonal workload, with primarily daytime 10-12 hour shifts
    .
  • Monday through Friday schedule with some Saturday work required
    .
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
    .
  • Must have a valid email address for communication.
