Overview

About the Role (The Big Picture Book)

We’re looking for a Packaging Designer with a sharp eye for detail and a playful imagination to join our creative team. In this role, you’ll help design packaging that delights parents and sparks joy for kids—whether it’s a baby bottle box, a toddler toy carton, or a family-friendly gift set. You’ll work closely with senior designers, copywriters, and product managers to create packaging that’s as functional as it is fun.

This is a perfect opportunity for a designer who’s eager to grow, learn, and see their ideas on shelves (and in playrooms) everywhere.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in designing packaging for baby and kids’ products across multiple categories.
  • Create dielines, mockups, and production-ready artwork files.
  • Collaborate with senior designers to develop fresh, creative packaging concepts.
  • Ensure packaging designs align with brand guidelines and child-friendly aesthetics.
  • Work with the copywriting and marketing teams to integrate visuals and messaging.
  • Prepare design files for printing and reviewing proofs.
  • Research trends in packaging, color, and kid-focused design to keep our look current.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
  • 3+ years of professional experience in package design, ideally within consumer products, kids’ goods, or lifestyle categories.
  • Strong sense of typography, layout, and color.
  • Detail-oriented with an understanding of dielines and print production.
  • Creative thinker who can balance fun, child-friendly design with practical function.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • A team player who’s eager to learn and grow under the guidance of senior designers.
Benefits
  • 401(k)
  • 401(k) matching
  • Paid time off
