Note:
This position is for an advanced technology project in Northern Louisiana. Travel or relocation is required for the project duration.

Position

Description:

Lead all fiscal management and financial administration aspects of the project. Ensure compliance with Turner financial policies and procedures, and communicate potential profitability or risks to management.

Reports to:

Senior Accountant, Operational Finance or Accounting Manager, Operational Finance

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Set up, oversee, and implement procedures to meet client contractual requirements regarding billing and accounts receivable, including contract analysis and billing schedule management.

Regularly audit client billing and project ledger to ensure compliance with contracts, GAAP, and company policies.

Manage accounts payable for vendor and subcontractor invoices, ensuring proper documentation, lien waivers, and compliance with contracts and insurance requirements.

Manage month-end close processes, ensuring all project costs and bills are accurately posted or accrued.

Update project assets and rentals for insurance documentation in collaboration with the project team.

Oversee project financial closeout, ensuring all contractual and documentation requirements are fulfilled before final payments.

Report on cash position, net assets, liabilities, and unfunded work, highlighting potential risks or profitability issues.

Assist with internal and external audits as needed.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; 3+ years of relevant experience or equivalent combination.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
Understanding of contract terms related to profitability and risk management.
Proficiency with financial systems and MS Office, especially Excel and Word.
Organizational skills with high attention to detail.
Ability to operate independently in a complex, changing environment.
Strong communication and leadership skills, with integrity and teamwork orientation.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, and navigate construction sites, with the ability to lift heavy objects occasionally. Visual and physical dexterity required.

Work Environment:

Primarily on-site at construction locations, exposed to mechanical hazards, heights, airborne particles, weather, and noise levels ranging from moderate to very loud. Reasonable accommodations will be provided as needed.
