Job Summary:

The Behavioral Line Technician provides direct behavioral health services for children and individuals with autism and other developmental or behavioral disorders. This role implements individualized treatment plans designed by a supervising Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) methodologies. Responsibilities include implementing skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs, collecting accurate data, and conducting assessments such as stimulus preference assessments under supervision.

Behavioral Line Technicians maintain a safe, supportive learning environment, actively engage with clients in clinic, home, or community settings in Monroe, LA, and collaborate with families and the clinical team to promote skill generalization. Weekly supervision and coaching from a BCBA ensures treatment fidelity, professional growth, and adherence to ethical standards, including HIPAA compliance.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:
  • Implement individualized skill acquisition and behavior reduction programs as designed by the supervising BCBA.
  • Provide direct one-on-one or small group therapy sessions.
  • Collect accurate data on client progress using agency-approved tools.
  • Conduct assessments under BCBA supervision (e.g., stimulus preference assessments).
  • Maintain a safe, supportive, and structured environment for clients.
  • Communicate regularly with the BCBA regarding progress, challenges, and behavioral observations.
  • Prepare therapy materials and visual supports as needed.
  • Model appropriate social and behavioral skills for clients.
  • Collaborate with families and caregivers to support generalization of skills.
  • Adhere to professional, ethical, and agency standards at all times.
Qualifications / Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in psychology, education, or related fields preferred.
  • Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred but not required.
  • Comfort with physical activity and direct client engagement.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and implement behavior plans with fidelity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to learn, accept coaching, and participate in ongoing professional development.
