Day Services Director

The Arc of Ouachita dba ARCO is looking for a passionate,strategic, and purpose-driven Day Services Director to lead programs that help people with developmental disabilities connect, contribute, work,grow, and thrive in their communities.

As the Day Services Director
, you will provide leadership and oversight for ARCO's Supported/Customized Employment and Community Ventures programs, along with the transportation services that support these programs.

Help individuals discover their strengths, interests, and employment goals while building relationships with local businesses and creating meaningful opportunities for individuals to succeed in the workplace.

Connect individuals with community members, organizations,businesses, and activities that align with their interests and goals - creating opportunities for friendship, volunteering, learning, participation, and contribution.

• Lead and develop person-centered,community-based Day Services programs.
• Promote meaningful employment, community integration, independence, and personal growth.
• Build strong relationships with employers,businesses, community organizations, families, and other partners.
• Assess participant needs and develop programs that support individual goals and interests.
• Supervise, coach, and develop Day Services staffand provide direction to program/team managers.
• Evaluate program effectiveness and implement improvements that strengthen outcomes.
• Ensure services meet applicable governmental requirements, agency standards, policies, and procedures.
• Assist with program funding and resource development.
• Collaborate with ARCO's Executive Director,Human Resources Director, management team, staff, participants, families, and community partners.
• Support ARCO's overall mission and participate in agency-wide initiatives and activities.

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Special Education,Social Services, or a related field.
• One year of experience in the field preferred.
• Valid Louisiana driver's license.
• Dependable transportation available for use onthe job.
• Strong leadership, communication,organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities and their families.
• Ability to develop relationships with businesses, community organizations, and other partners.
• Understanding of budgets, expenses, and revenues.
• Ability to evaluate programs and develop services that respond to individual and community needs.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of ateam and respond to agency needs, including working outside of regular hourswhen necessary.
