SalaryThe hourly wage for this position ranges from $25.00 to $29.00 and varies based on specific responsibilities and geographic location. Starting hourly rate within this range will be determined based on the candidate's experience, qualifications, and/or skillset.
SummaryThe primary purpose of the maintenance technician is to ensure production and operations are running safely at the most efficient level achievable, producing the highest possible production quality.
Essential Functions- Troubleshoots and repairs equipment in a timely, complete, and cost‑effective manner.
- Performs duties to maintain production machines and other facility equipment.
- Checks and inspects assigned equipment during preventative maintenance. Reports findings to management.
- Completes work orders and updates maintenance tracking system.
- Identifies and recommends corrections on electrical issues through knowledge of drives and PLCs.
- Ensures machine productivity and quality after repairs, changeovers, and extended downtime.
- Maintains inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
- Responds quickly to issues or concerns that may put employees at risk for injury, to include rectifying immediate dangers.
- Maintains building safety and appearance including utilities, ventilation, housekeeping and plumbing.
- Communicates existing and potential issues with group leaders/maintenance manager.
- Other related duties as assigned.
High school diploma/GED preferred but not required. Certifications preferred but not required.
Experience- 5+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Any equivalent experience and training that demonstrates the ability to perform the key responsibilities of this position.
- Ability to understand and interpret gauges, tools, and instruments relating to product quality and equipment repair.
- Good working knowledge of electricity and troubleshooting electrical issues.
- Knowledge and experience with PLCs, drives preferred.
- Experience in welding with MIG and/or arc welder.
- Forklift experience is a plus; training will be provided.
