This travel NICU Registered Nurse position offers an engaging opportunity to work at a busy hospital setting in Monroe, Louisiana. You’ll be caring for newborns in both NICU and Wellbaby units, handling high-risk deliveries, conducting car seat testing, and managing all newborn diagnoses. Expect to find yourself working 12-hour night shifts, providing crucial support during some of the most delicate moments in neonatal care.
The assignment lasts for 13 weeks, with a weekly gross income of approximately $1,812.93. Flexibility is key, as you’ll be expected to be available for emergency relief shifts and a chance to contribute during holiday periods. This role is perfect for experienced NICU nurses who are comfortable in a fast-paced environment and are prepared for a unique blend of routine neonatal duties and emergency responsiveness.

Location:

Shift: 12-hour night shifts (18:45 – 07:15)
Duration: 13 weeks (about 36 hours per week)
This role involves attending high-risk deliveries, performing newborn assessments, and conducting car seat testing, all within a family-focused neonatal setting. Candidates should have at least 2 years of NICU experience, current BLS, NRP, and CPI certifications, and Epic experience is required. Flexibility with holiday shifts, including some weekends, is expected, along with the willingness to be part of emergency response teams if needed.
