Schedule / Job TypeContract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (6:45 PM - 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio
- Operate within an emergency response framework - may be assigned to an Emergency Team during declared events, with an expectation to remain on-site or serve as part of a relief team until the event concludes
- Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR
- Maintain availability to work 2 of 4 designated holiday periods annually (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's), based on departmental needs and staff rotation
- Complete required facility orientation modules, which are conducted on-site and recorded by the facility
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Compact or Louisiana license required and must be in hand at time of submittal - Minimum 2 years of experience in Emergency Room nursing
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and CPI certifications required - AHA-issued certifications required; CPI must be obtained prior to start if not already held
- Epic EMR experience required
- First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
- Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility (as measured from the address on file with the driver's license to the facility address) to be eligible
- NURSYS report required at time of submission and must be current (within 4 weeks of submission date)
- Candidates who previously worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors at this health system must have been separated for a minimum of 1 full year before being eligible to return as a traveler
- Royal blue scrubs required
- TNCC certification preferred
- Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred
- Familiarity with emergency department workflows and high-acuity patient populations
- Work in a dynamic Emergency Room environment with a structured orientation program designed to set travelers up for success
- Orientation modules are billable and completed during scheduled orientation hours
