• Hospital patients and family members are greeted, welcomed, and transported to their rooms, ancillary areas, and outlying locations as needed, ensuring a caring, considerate, expedient, professional manner.
• Patient identification bracelets are placed on patients before transport, demonstrating compassion and respect in all contacts.
• Epic rover system is utilized by accurately reporting delays associated with transports and updates at correct times throughout the transport process to ensure smooth and timely operations.
• Ticket to ride is obtained and accurately completed, as required by non‑licensed employees, ensuring nursing and diagnostic areas complete correctly and are turned in promptly at the end of return or one‑way transports.
• Wheelchairs and stretchers are kept clean, made‑up, and stored appropriately; non‑functioning equipment is reported immediately, and the amount of clean linen is reported to ensure availability.
• Accurate patient care documentation is maintained on transporter cards and sign‑in/out logs to enhance unit operational efficiency 100% of the time; appropriate personnel are notified immediately when patient care problems arise.
• All equipment, supplies, facilities, and resources are utilized in a prudent and efficient manner to ensure efficient departmental operations and high‑quality health‑care services.
• Supervisor is notified of vehicle service issues, and vehicles are kept clean and safe to operate at all times.
• All traffic regulations are followed 100% of the time, with zero occurrences of accidents due to own fault; any violations are reported to the manager immediately. Valet drivers enter information into the SMS Valet system and park vehicles in the appropriate valet area.
• Keys are left with security after Valet is closed, the shuttle is cleaned and maintained in orderly condition at the end of shift, and all logs are completed.
• Other duties as assigned are completed.
• Actively anticipates educational programs, in‑service meetings, and training sessions to share expertise in job duties and responsibilities as needed.

• 5 years of good driving experience with no more than two moving violations in the last three years and zero DUI or reckless driving convictions; periodic motor‑vehicle/driving record checks may be conducted throughout employment.
• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Able to push, pull, lift, or carry on a regular basis. Good communication and customer service skills.
• Valid Louisiana driver's license with no severe violations in the past three years.
