This role is responsible for analysing manufacturing processes for improvements using various methods of testing and inspection, driving quality improvements through problem solving, and ensuring products are manufactured in compliance with customer specifications, safety standards and design specifications. Oversees and facilitates the implementation of process quality core tools (Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plans, etc.).

• Primary contact source with customer/supplier representatives, maintain positive communication and relationship, support and attend meetings, reviews and audits.
• Ensures that the quality system is maintained in accordance with the YF iOS standards.
• Facilitate problem solving teams and respond to customer discrepancy notices.
• Verify corrective actions and prepare problem solving customer correspondence related to quality concerns or issues.
• Participate in internal and external quality audits, and report to management on quality issues, trends and losses.
• Establish process controls, assist in training of new projects and buy-off on new/modified equipment and processes.
• Participate in work groups (e.g., FMEA, PSMC, etc.).
• Support the risk and failure analysis (PFMEA) reviews.
• Performs root cause analysis of technical quality problems, with support of a cross functional team.
• Support quality/dimensional control systems (i.e., X&R charts, gage studies, Six Sigma, dimensional capability studies).
• Strong working knowledge of APQP tools (e.g., Process Flow, PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP, MSA, SPC, etc.).

Required Education Level: Bachelor s Degree in Quality, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent work experience in Quality or Engineering related function. Equivalent work experience may also be considered for certain positions.

• 1-3 minimum years of experience in Quality, Engineering CI or similar (recent college graduate acceptable).
• Less than 1 year of experience within the automotive industry.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a team environment and build partnerships internally and externally.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent verbal and written communication.
• Knowledge of PPAP and APQP processes fundamentals.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

• Experience working directly with customers and suppliers in the automotive sector is highly desirable.
• Understanding of Quality functions such as customer service, metrology, and quality analysis techniques (e.g., Design of Experiments, Red X, PPAP, Control Plan).
