Job Description

Job Title: Environmental Engineer
Location: 3 days a week at Belle River Power Plant, 1 at Monroe Power Plant, 1 at home.
Pay Rate: $42-48/HR | W2 position
Setting: Hybrid Required
Duration: 24+ months
Note: 3 days a week at Belle River Power Plant, 1 at Monroe Power Plant, 1 at home.

• Air/water reporting history
• Air observation
• Water discharge and inspection
• Waste Sewer inspection
• Must be able to work 4 days onsite, one day remote each week

• Performs engineering assignments, proposing solutions to engineering related problems.
• Works with experienced professionals to recommend and implement timely solutions involving routine engineering, design, operation, maintenance of company assets and market optimization.
• Collaborates with more experienced engineers to provide follow-up and engineering assistance on defined problems within time and budget constraints.
• Develops models and analyzes data in order to recommend solutions and/or improvements in processes and programs; develops and presents presentations to all levels of management and/or external parties.
• Provides a combination of field support and office-based technical support.
• Keeps up to date on current technology and market/technology trends.
• Ensures environmental regulatory compliance by monitoring, reporting, developing and implementing procedures and strategies.
• Perform, coordinates and recommends solutions for environmental issues based on investigations, professional judgement, current industry practices and occasional consultation with experienced professionals.
• Reviews and interprets environmental regulations and proposed regulatory changes to assess impact and to ensure compliance.
• Represents the company on environmental issues with regulatory agencies and industry groups.
• Understanding of environmental laws and regulations.
