Hours: M–Th 8:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m. F 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.

Location: South Brunswick, NJ.

Summary: The physical therapist provides services in accordance with the New Jersey Practice Act, the Bylaws of Princeton Healthcare System, accreditation standards, State regulatory bodies, and the Code of Ethics of the A.P.T.A. The practice involves examination, evaluation, treatment, and instruction of individuals for prevention, habilitation, or rehabilitation of physical disability, functional deficit, or pain. Areas include acute care, orthopedics, neurology, geriatrics, pediatrics, cardiopulmonary, home health, ob‑gyn, and oncology.

It may also involve administration, education, and research. The role requires participation in staff education, consultation for facility personnel, and effective documentation to ensure continuity and coordination of patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs patient examinations in a technically competent manner, performs skilled services, and uses sound judgment to follow established practice standards independently.
  • Evaluates clinical findings to determine rehabilitation diagnosis and outcomes of care.
  • Designs a plan of care that integrates goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge planning; performs interventions, assesses response to care, and adapts delivery to respect individual differences.
  • Performs reassessments as necessary and evaluates the need for other services.
  • Documents care in the EMR within designated time frames and communicates problems and resolutions to case managers and the team.
  • Incorporates an understanding of economic factors in service delivery and maintains compliance with departmental productivity standards as specified in the staffing plan.
  • Demonstrates competency in knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to meet patients’ physical, psychological, and social needs while being competent in age‑specific knowledge and understanding developmental levels.

Credentials:

  • Physical Therapist (Required)
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
  • Basic Life Saving (BLS) Certification – Required

Education or Equivalent

Experience:

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science (Required)
  • Graduation from a physical therapy program accredited by the A.P.T.A. or its equivalent; if educated outside the U.S., the individual must possess the appropriate educational requirements.
  • Master of Arts or Science (Optional)
  • Acute‑care clinical affiliations (Optional)

Salary Range: $37.63 – $60.01 per hour. Successful candidates are provided a specific rate based on experience and education.
