Staff Accountant

Staff AccountantASSA ABLOY's Accessories Division is seeking to hire a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team located in its Monroe, NC facility. Reporting directly to the Senior Accountant, this role plays a pivotal part in supporting various Brands.

This position sits onsite in Monroe, NC.
** Responsibilities
* ** Prepare and post monthly journal entries with precision and attention to detail
* Support Accounts Payable activities by GL Coding invoices
* Assist in the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
* Analyze and reconcile balance sheet accounts to maintain financial accuracy
* Prepare and analyze sales and use tax returns
* Contribute to special projects as an active team member, offering your financial expertise
* Assess and recommend improvements to day-to-day procedures and controls
* Respond promptly to ad hoc requests for information and reports
* Thrive in a team environment, working collaboratively to achieve common goals
* Demonstrate commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results
** Requirements
* ** Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
* 2-3 years of professional work experience supporting financial and accounting initiatives.
* Strong technical acumen using MS Excel: v-lookups, pivots, and macros.
* Proficiency in working with different systems to retrieve and analyze data.
* Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
* Ability to develop effective working relationships with business partners.
* Limited travel with a potential of up to 5% if necessary (domestic).
** Preferred Skills
*** Experience with Power BI, Business Objects, JD Edwards, and/or One Stream preferred
