Overview
Join SECU as a Part Time – Branch Team Member. If you are motivated by the credit union philosophy of "People Helping People," this is the role for you.
PurposeDeliver exceptional member service through all delivery channels, handling cash box management, account opening and maintenance, phone inquiries, safe deposit boxes, and all other services as needed.
Responsibilities- Open new accounts and process account changes.
- Educate members on available services and make recommendations.
- Key required transactions into the Margo system and balance the cash drawer accurately.
- Balance vault, ATM, TCD, and coin sorter.
- Operate drive‑thru window as needed.
- Maintain daily and monthly records (vault control, returned checks, Visa gift cards, theme park tickets, forgeries, coin sorter).
- Prepare, order, and verify cash delivery and shipment once a week.
- Assist members with account problems, checking reconciliations, or transaction errors.
- Grant subsequent advances on existing credit cards, open lines and home equity lines of credit—consulting with an approving officer before advancing.
- Answer phones, file paperwork, scan documents into the Image System, and perform other clerical duties as needed.
- Participate in training in other areas of branch operations as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High level of self‑control, self‑confidence, strong basic math skills, and excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Positive attitude, neat appearance, and ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing training and professional development.
- Basic computer skills and fluency in English.
- Cooperative and collaborative with co‑workers; cordial in all interactions with members and co‑workers.
- Must adhere to the work schedule and attendance policy established by the manager.
Office setting with physical proximity to other employees and moderate background noise.
Physical DemandsManual lifting of 5 pounds, frequent use of hands and fingers for phone and computer input, 80% sitting, 10% standing, 10% walking. Must communicate clearly to answer member questions and describe services.
