Overview
Talentbridge is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to support the continuous development and optimization of manufacturing processes for a high-volume production environment. This role is ideal for a proactive, solutions-focused engineer with a passion for lean principles and collaborative problem-solving. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance tooling, troubleshoot equipment, and develop standard work that ensures quality and efficiency.
Job Duties- Design and update tooling, fixtures, and inspection equipment using 3D CAD and 2D drafting tools.
- Troubleshoot and resolve machine and tooling issues in a fast-paced production environment.
- Collaborate on the specification, procurement, and implementation of new machinery and tooling.
- Evaluate and introduce manufacturing technologies that support continuous improvement and cost savings.
- Assist in the creation and implementation of maintenance plans (TPM) to ensure machine reliability.
- Develop and maintain standard work documentation and process improvements.
- Engage in lean manufacturing activities, including Kaizen events and waste reduction efforts.
- Work on assigned special projects supporting broader operational goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent technical discipline preferred.
- 3+ years experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts (8 Wastes, SMED, TPM, Kaizen).
- Experience with 3D CAD software (Solid Edge preferred but not required).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with BOMs, routings, and time studies.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
