Role Description

This is an on-site, full-time Substation and Transmission Engineering Manager role located in Monroe, NC. The selected candidate will oversee the design, operation, and maintenance of substation and transmission facilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Responsibilities include supervising engineering staff, managing projects, providing technical support, preparing budgets, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. The Engineering Manager will also develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the efficiency and reliability of systems under their purview.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in substation design, transmission engineering, and electrical power system operations
  • Experience in project management, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Leadership skills, with a proven track record of managing and mentoring engineering teams
  • Familiarity with industry standards, regulatory compliance, and safety protocols
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills
  • Advanced knowledge of relevant software tools for electrical engineering design and analysis
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field;
    Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
  • Experience in the energy or utilities sector is advantageous
