** Technology Intern**, you’ll apply your Materials Science and Engineering knowledge to real-world manufacturing challenges. You’ll work with plant teams to investigate material defects, analyze mechanical and metallography data, and monitor experimental material processing to identify trends and support improvements.###
** What You’ll Work On
** Depending on your project assignment, you may:
* ** Investigate material defects
** throughout the plant to help determine their source and recommend process changes to reduce defect occurrence.
* ** Analyze mechanical and metallography data
** against processing history to identify trends and processing conditions associated with unacceptable results.
* ** Observe and monitor experimental material lots
** throughout processing to measure improvements and respond to unforeseen processing challenges.
* Apply materials science principles and data analysis to support
** manufacturing process improvements**.
* Collaborate with technical and plant personnel to communicate findings and develop potential solutions.###

** Preferred Qualifications
*** Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in:  + Materials Science & Engineering  + Related Materials or Metallurgy discipline
* Interest in working in a
** manufacturing environment**.
* Understanding of fundamental materials science and metallurgy concepts.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to review and interpret technical and process data.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively with manufacturing and technical teams.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
