The Role:

The Credit Analyst is responsible for managing the accounts receivable portfolio assigned by the District Credit Manager, with a strong focus on minimizing risk and maximizing collections. This role includes decision-making authority in key areas such as credit underwriting, collections, project securitization, and initiating legal actions when necessary. The Credit Analyst works closely with internal stakeholders and external customers to assess creditworthiness, resolve outstanding balances, and ensure compliance with company policies.

This position plays a critical role in supporting the financial health of the business and contributing to the overall success of the team and district operations.
This position reports to the Director of Credit Collections, NA.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct credit investigations on existing and potential customers and projects
  • Perform underwriting analysis on GC’s/owners, sureties, and other pertinent parties for new jobs
  • Analyze and interpret information received from corporate financial statements, D&B, NACM and other credit services to establish unsecured and secured credit extension within assigned limits of authority
  • Prepare and submit necessary monthly reports to management regarding collection issues
  • Follow closely the course of aging accounts and determine action needed
  • Work closely with the Shared Services Dept to ensure timely responses and outstanding customer experience
  • Perform ad hoc reporting as requested by credit and finance leadership
  • Communicate regularly with all levels of District Management
  • Perform collection calls and account management within assigned portfolio
  • Field internal & external requests for credit assistance from various sources
  • Reconcile short payments, discrepancies, and perform account reconciliations where needed
  • Review of lien / bond filing dates to ensure collectability of AR portfolio
  • Follow up on disputes timely and work with Districts and salesman to resolve
  • Facilitate placement of accounts with collection agencies and escalated collection efforts as deemed appropriate
  • Participate in training & education opportunities for next level roles and responsibilities
What You Will Need:
  • 2+ years in the credit & collection field, construction industry preferred
  • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Mgmt. related field preferred
  • Timely collection and follow up within the assigned portfolio
