We are seeking a Family Law Attorney for our office in Monroe, North Carolina who can serve clients handling spousal support, division of assets, child custody, child support, divorce, domestic violence, and other delicate family law issues.

- Provide competent legal advice to a book of family law clients in hearings, settlement negotiations, and mediations.
- Manage all phases of litigation, including discovery, depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials.
- Draft, review, and file pleadings, motions, settlement agreements, and other legal documents.
- Maintain strong, compassionate, and professional client communication throughout the case lifecycle.
- Mentor junior attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants.
- Engage in business development activities, including cultivating client relationships, networking, and contributing to the firm’s and individual growth initiatives.
- Uphold ethical standards and confidentiality in all client interactions.
- Licensed and in good standing with the North Carolina State Bar.
- 4+ years’ experience working in a family law firm, preferably with an existing book of business.
- Ability to understand Local Rules and how they apply to family law cases.
- Adequate skill working independently on cases while maintaining a client base.
- Exemplary interpersonal and communication skills specifically in high-stress and emotional situations.
- Ability to maintain professionalism while showing empathy to all clients.
- Creative and able to think outside of the box.

- Self-motivated
- Problem solvers with the ability to identify solutions.
- Active members of their community (Union and Mecklenburg County involvement is a plus).
