Job Title:
Welder

Job Responsibilities:
  • Plan, layout, and perform various welding, grinding, and air arcing operations to repair parts for ATI rotary forge facilities, press department, and outside vendors.
  • Work from samples, drawings, sketches, and instructions to plan and execute welding and grinding for repairing existing parts and fabricating new ones.
  • Perform carbon arc, TIG, and stick welding using super alloy electrodes.
  • Detect and report defective materials, improper operations, and unusual conditions; refer errors to supervision for correction.
  • Operate lift trucks and cranes safely to ensure smooth material flow.
  • Complete daily equipment and inventory checklists.
  • Participate in Standard Work projects.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment.
  • Follow all safety regulations.
    • Qualifications:
    • Proficiency in advanced shop mathematics, charts, tables, formulas, and working from complex drawings, sketches, and samples.
    • Ability to use precision measuring instruments and knowledge of machining, hand, and bench operations, and material characteristics.
    • At least 6 months of industrial welding experience preferred.
