Production Manager, Manufacturing & Industrial Operations
We are seeking an experienced Plant Operations Manager to lead overall operations at a high-volume manufacturing facility. This individual will be responsible for driving production performance, developing and leading a large team, maintaining operational excellence, and ensuring the facility operates safely, efficiently, and consistently.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mass-production or high-volume manufacturing and proven experience leading a sizable plant operation. Experience in plastics manufacturing or extrusion is highly preferred, but candidates from other large-scale production environments will be considered.
This is a highly visible leadership position with regular interaction with executive leadership and ownership, so strong professionalism, communication skills, and executive presence are essential.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee day-to-day operations of a large-scale manufacturing facility
- Lead and develop approximately 70 direct and indirect employees
- Drive production efficiency, quality, safety, and operational performance
- Establish accountability and performance expectations across the plant
- Develop and mentor supervisors and other plant leadership
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity, throughput, and overall plant performance
- Partner with senior leadership to support business and operational objectives
- Maintain a strong focus on employee engagement, safety, and continuous improvement
- Communicate operational performance, challenges, and opportunities to executive leadership
- Ensure the facility consistently meets production and operational goals
- Significant experience leading operations within a high-volume, mass-production manufacturing environment
- Proven experience managing large teams, including both direct and indirect reports
- Strong plant leadership and people-management experience
- Experience in plastics manufacturing, extrusion, or a similar high-volume production environment is strongly preferred
- Candidates from other large-scale manufacturing environments will be considered
- Demonstrated ability to improve production performance and operational efficiency
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Professional presence and the ability to communicate effectively with executive leadership and ownership
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Ability to lead in a fast-paced, performance-driven manufacturing environment
