  • Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
  • Holiday Expectations: Work 75% of holidays
  • Scrub Color: Navy
  • Parking: Free on‑site parking
  • Estimated Weekly Salary: $1,570–$1,680
Registered Nurse Qualifications
  • Active RN license
  • Minimum 18 months of recent Med/Tele or PCU RN experience
  • BLS certification
  • ACLS certification
  • NIHSS certification
  • Strong PCU nursing skills: cardiac rhythm interpretation, stroke care, trach care, chest tube management, IV therapy
  • Ability to float to other units or facilities in the region as needed
PCU Nurse Responsibilities
  • Deliver compassionate, evidence‑based nursing care to patients with diagnoses including stroke, heart failure, chest pain, COPD, GI disorders, liver failure, and renal conditions
  • Manage critical care drips (Insulin, Nitroglycerin, Cardene, Diltiazem, Amiodarone, Heparin) and blood products
  • Perform and manage procedures: PIV starts, NGT placement, drain/tube management (Dobhoff, PEG, Hemovac, JP drains, Foley), and PCA pumps
  • Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to emergencies appropriately
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams: CNAs, charge nurses, phlebotomy, IV/VAT team, respiratory therapists, hospitalists, intensivists
  • Utilize EPIC EMR, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Phillips monitors
  • Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training to maintain high standards of patient care
