No Trauma Designation Teaching Hospital? Only Community Schools of Nursing Chest Pain Center? No, but part of Lee Garvey Chest Pain Network
TJC Stroke accredited
Radius rule:
Traveler s permanent address must be 50 miles outside of home unit
Unit Information:
Minimum Years of Experience required? At least 1 year of experience
Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes Unit: 7 beds Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
Age range: babies 32 weeks and above in age. Typically transfer patients that need a higher level of care to their larger facility Mostly grower and feeders. They take bubble CPAPs Patient Ratios:
RN: 1:2 and occasionally 1:3 depending on staffing Required
Certifications:
RN: BLS, NRP
Skills required:
Strong NRP skills
Core staff will attend high risk deliveries experience catching babies is not required for travelers.
Must be comfortable stabilizing babies
Support within the Department:
CNA Receptionist/HUC patient registration, visitor mgmt. and unit secretary duties
Charge nurse
Case Manager RT 24/7
Hospitalist, 24/7
Neonatologist (not always in house but available 24/7)
Lactation Consultants Remote Tele Monitoring Telemedicine available for Virtual Consults Technology/Equipment:
EMR: EPICIV Pump:
Alaris Med dispensing:
Omnicell Monitors:
