As Kitchen Leader, you will learn how to prepare great food, grill meats, sauté vegetables, and ensure our food is absolutely delicious. You’ll order supplies and train others to become future Kitchen Leaders. You help ensure the quality and safety of Chipotle’s delicious food every day and maintain a clean, organized, and well‑stocked kitchen. You’ll serve as a role model for Crew members, promote teamwork, and create a great customer experience.

• Ensure food quality by cooking and prepping food to order, and following kitchen procedures.
• Monitor food waste and inventory levels, and resolve food quality issues.
• Support a strong team dynamic between back‑of‑house Crew and front‑of‑house Crew.
• Develop Crew members to be future Kitchen Leaders.
• Communicate with Crew members and customers effectively to ensure great customer service and throughput.
• Ensure the kitchen is properly cleaned and sanitized.
• Monitor kitchen equipment and ensure it is kept in good repair; make sure malfunctioning equipment is repaired as quickly as possible.
• Ensure that the kitchen and all Crew members meet the necessary guidelines to reduce injuries or accidents.
• Fill out Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) and perform Inventory Rotation (FIFO).

• Ability to understand and articulate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
• Knowledge and ability to speak, write, and understand the primary language(s) of the work location.
• High school diploma.
• Restaurant experience.
